BREAKING: Washington Lands 3-Star USC Transfer Tight End

The Washington Huskies have reeled in Lynden, Washington-native Cade Eldridge, an Edge defender transfer from USC.

Eldridge, a 6-4, 250-pound TE transfer will bolster a depleted tight end position that was without Quentin Moore’s services for most of the season due to a freak on-the-field injury.  UW has also been without Ryan Otton for the entirety of 3 years.

He caught 3 passes for 19 yards fit the Trojans this past season.  Interestingly, his first year in Cardinal and Gold the only gave he saw action in was the Holiday Bowl against Louisville—the Huskies opponent in the 2024 Sun Bowl.  He did not record any stats in Holiday Bowl.

This past season Jordan Paopao patched together a tight end crew that consisted of, senior Nevada transfer Keleki Latu, freshman Decker Degraaf who had a solid, Freshman All-American, season, and walk-on receiver Owen Coutts who was converted into a tight end.

Eldridge received seven Power 5 offers including Michigan, USC, Oregon, Utah and Washington.

Another Washington-native tight end Dorian Thompson, is in the Transfer Portal, and has yet to declare his decision.

Eldridge has 3 years of eligibility remaining.
