Breaking: Washington Huskies Lose Australian Punter Over Eligibility Investigation

According to a source, Washington punter Dusty Zimmerman has been removed from the Washington Huskies Spring football roster and is on his way back to his homeland, Australia.

This news comes amidst an investigation into ProKick Australia.

Zimmer joined the Huskies via ProKick Australia this offseason, moving from South Adelaide Football Club (Aussie Rules Football).

Zimmer was expected to be the Huskies starting punter come September, but has reportedly been removed from the team by the University of Washington.

Zimmer was in attendance at the first spring practice on Tuesday but was absent on Thursday.

Sources point Zimmer’s absence towards a probe of ProKick Australia. The Australian kicking program which has produced players such as the Seahawks’ Michael Dickson, the 49ers’ Mitch Wishnowsky, and the Bears’ Tory Taylor.

The investigation into ProKick Australia centers around the agency of Visa fraud and violation of NCAA rules.

The University is yet to comment on Zimmer’s departure.

The Aussie’s departure along with Jack McCallisters entry to the transfer portal leaves the Huskies with just one punter on the roster in Troy Petz.
