The Washington Huskies have flipped 2024 Arizona defensive back commit, Rahim Wright from Rancho Cucamonga, California. The news came roughly two hours after announcing his decommitment from the Wildcats this morning.

The 6-0, 175-pound defensive back projects as a cornerback but racked up an impressive 114 tackles in 12 games, including 61 solo. The former Arizona commit also produced 2 tackles for loss, an interception and broke up 3 passes.
He began his career at quarterback before switching to the defensive side of the ball his junior year–a move that paid off handsomely for both him and his teammates. His efforts put him on the All-CIFSS Division 2nd team. He had Power 5 offers from Arizona, Washington, Washington State, and Colorado.
“What jumps off the screen is his ability to track ball carriers,” said RealDawg.com’s lead high school scout Trevor Mueller. “He has a nose for the ball which is probably from spending most of his career as a QB. As a pure defensive back he’s a true diamond in the rough.”
Wright also runs track and will likely enroll for the summer quarter.
