Decisions, decisions. The day belongs to the Washington defensive staff, pulling in the 4th commitment with 4-star edge defender Noah Carter.

Carter is an interesting prospect out of Centennial High School in Peoria, Arizona. Listed as the 4th best overall player in the Grand Canyon State, he splits his time in the field as a receiver and an edge defender.
On3 and 247 Sports are split on his star-rating with On3 having him as a 4-star and 247 listing him as a 3-star. Either way, his star is on the rise.
“The way that Washington likes to pressure quarterbacks, Carter’s measurables (6-5, 225) are in line with what they like,” said RealDawg.com’s lead scout, Trevor Mueller. “He looks like a multi-year contributor at Washington.”
His recent visit to Louisville made a great impression on him, but Washington got the final shot as he plans on making his decision today.
He’s already sorted through offers from Texas, Arizona, Arizona State, Oregon State, Washington State, Iowa State, and others.
After a great conversation with @Coach_SchmidtE I am extremely blessed to receive a offer from university of Washington!! #AGTG #Gohuskies pic.twitter.com/I2Ovfvq3sQ

Louisville had nearly a 4-month head start in the Huskies. It wasn’t until the first week of June that Washington offered Carter. However, Washington EDGE’s coach Eric Schmidt had built a solid relationship prior to the offer.
If there’s one thing that we learned about Washington’s big recruiting weekend last year is that the staff knows how to close.
