The nation’s second-leading freshman scorer, Nate Calmese has committed to Washington. On3.com’s Joe Tipton announced the Lamar University transfer news on Twitter Monday.

The Southland Conference’s freshman of the year then he hit the Transfer Portal March 13.
He’s a marksman, knocking down 48.1-percent of his shots from the field, including 36.7-percent from three-point land.
A low 3-star shooting guard coming out of Mesquite High School in Gilbert, Arizona, his stock took off this past season with his all around game. At MHS he averaged 20 points a game over a 30-game senior season.
Now rated as a high 3-star shooting guard, he has three years of eligibility remaining.
6-foot-2, 164-pound guard originally from Gilbert, Arizona averaged 17.6 points, 2.5 rebounds, and 2.0 assists while shooting 48.1% from the field.
