BREAKING: International Transcript Issue Forces Washington DT Transfer Target to Cancel Visit

Australian-born University of Washington transfer defensive tackle target Sani Tuala has been forced to cancel his recruiting visit this weekend due to an international transcript issue, Tuala has told RealDawg.com.

”This weekend’s visit didn’t workout, but I’m still talking to the coaches,” he said.

Born and raised in “The Land Down Under”, Tuala had a breakout season at Citrus College in Glendora, California—hometown of Washington tight end commit Decker DeGraaf.

Running a 4.55 40-yard sprint, he is perfectly suited for Washington’s edge position, despite playing rugby his entire life.

With Washington his transcript has him in limbo, he’s also still hearing from other schools.

Some schools say I’m good to sign,” he told RealDawg.com.  “Some just say to wait so it’s up in the air.”

With it being Friday and the Huskies always hosting several prospects, this matter couldn’t be cleaned up until next week, at the earliest.

Given Washington’s recent experience with Zach Durfee and the NCAA regulations snafu, the Husky’s may not have wanted to have another edge defender twisting in the compliance wind for months.

Between December 4 and January 2 players intended to transfer must put their name into the NCAA Transfer Portal.  Once in the portal, players are then free to visit and sign with any team at any time.
