The 82-year-old Brown was most recently an assistant for Penny Hardaway at Memphis.

The 2000-2001 NBA Coach of the Year will reportedly join Hopkins as an analyst.
He has won wherever he’s gone. Notably, he’s is the only coach in NBA history to lead eight different NBA organizations to the playoffs.
He won an ABA championship as a player and in 2004 an NBA championship with the Detroit Pistons.
As a coach he also led the Kansas Jayhawks to an NCAA Championship in 1988.
He’s also only coach to guide teams to NBA and NCAA championships, as a point guard he helped Team USA win gold at the Tokyo 1964 Olympic Games.
In Philadelphia, Brown also coached Alan Iverson when Iverson responded to a question about his work-ethic, which is one of the most memed moments on social media.
The University has yet to make this move official.
