The Washington Huskies will have a visit from California first-team All-State Linebacker linebacker Stacy Bey, on Easter weekend, the defender told RealDawg.com. Bey recently included UW in his Top 4 that also had Arizona, Washington State, and Colorado as finalists.
Although he’s listed as a 3-star athlete by the recruiting services the Huskies envision him at linebacker.
“I can’t wait to get up to Washington to take in a practice Easter weekend,” he said.
Bey was a top defender at Bishop Amat High School, helping lead Lancers to the 3rd round of the CIF where they lost a nail-biter to Sierra Canyon in the CIFSS Division 2 semifinals. BA finished the 2022 season at 9-4. Missing a couple of games due to a minor injury, he finished the season with 57 tackles including 4 sacks. Offensively he compiled 394 all-purpose yards and 4 TDs.
The 6-1 and 205-pound defender, who recently transferred from Bishop Amat in La Puente 30 miles east to Racho Cucamonga High School, announced his offer from UW last March and received the offer from the Huskies 2 months later. As the offers continued over the following months Bey cut his schools of interest on January 20th of this year.
“I chose the schools that were showing me the most love–recruiting me the heaviest,” he said. “I plan on taking my time with the rest of the recruiting process. I’m just thankful to be in the position that I’m in right now.”
Tomorrow RealDawg.com will go more in-depth as to where the Washington Huskies stand in his recruitment.
