Alaska Airlines has announced that they will be adding 1700 additional seats for Husky fans to travel to New Orleans for the Sugar Bowl. After the Washington Huskies were given the #2 seed in the College Football Playoff rankings, they were scheduled to play in the Sugar Bowl over the Rose Bowl, making travel much more difficult for fans.
The decision to add flights comes following many complaints from Husky fans regarding the high prices from airlines. With Alaska Airlines being the official airline of Husky Athletics, they have agreed to add six flights from Seattle to New Orleans and four flights from New Orleans to Seattle. Tickets go on sale at 5 pm PT.
