University of Washington receiver, Taj Davis has announced that he will leave the program and has entered the Transfer Portal.
Davis, a 6-2, 200-pound receiver from Upland, California played in all 13 of the Huskies’ games last season. His career at Washington is highlighted by a 62-yard touchdown reception from Michael Penix to tie the game at 34-34 with 3:07 to go in the Huskies’ win at No. 6 Oregon, dropping the Ducks from the Top 10.
This move by Davis isn’t entirely unexpected. The move puts the Huskies one under the 85-player scholarship limit and will make room to add Rhode Island cornerback transfer Antonio Carter who the Huskies offered a week ago.
Davis has two years of eligibility remaining.
