Just because it’s summer doesn’t mean the Washington Huskies are slowing down.
This weekend will be a big one for the Huskies in terms of recruiting. With at least 12 players visiting for the weekend Jedd Fisch and Co. will be working hard (as usual) to make an impression and secure the future of Husky football.
Here’s the full list of weekend visitors:
Zaydrius Rainey-Sale (LB): 4-star, Bethel HS- Spanaway, Washington – Top 3: Washington, Florida State, UCLA
Rainey-Sale is the top-ranked player in the state of Washington. With his commitment expected on July 1st, the Huskies hope that the 247 crystal ball predictions are true and he stays home.
Jonathon Epperson (ATH): 4-star, Auburn Riverside HS- Auburn, Washington – Projected Top-2: Washington & Arizona
With Rainey-Sale the top-ranked player in the state Epperson is #2. Playing as both a linebacker and runningback Epperson (who is crystal balled to the Huskies) would be another huge pickup.
Darius Afalava (IOL): 4-star, Skyridge HS- Lehi, Utah – Top-4: Washington, Oklahoma, Utah, Michigan State
The big O-lineman has narrowed his decision down to four schools. But with no crystal ball projection, this will be a big weekend for the Huskies to possibly sway his decision.
Larue Zamorano (CB): 4-star, Centennial HS- Corona, California – Top-7: Washington, Oregon, USC, Penn State, Arizona, Michigan State, Kansas
Commitment projections vary for the 4-star corner, but one thing is for certain. The Huskies are well within reach of getting his commitment and this weekend will be a big part of that effort.
Rylon Dillard-Allen (S): 4-star, Mountain Pointe HS- Phoenix, Arizona – Top-4: Washington, Alabama, Texas A&M, UCLA
With big dogs in the race and no projected commitment, the Huskies will be working hard this weekend to get Dillard-Allen to commit to Washington on July 27th and help lead the Huskies secondary for the coming years.
Julian McMahan (RB): 3-star, Monte Vista HS- Danville, California – Washington Commit
McMahan will be making his official visit after committing to wear the purple and gold in March.
Baron Naone (TE): 4-star, West Linn HS- West Linn, Oregon – Projected Top-3: Washington, Oregon State, California
The PNW tight end is yet to make any signal as to where he plans to commit, but the Huskies seem like a front runner after securing his official visit.
Aiden Manutai (S): 3-star, Kahuku HS-Kahuku, Hawaii -Projected Top-6: Washington, Tennessee, Penn State, Arizona, Nebraska, California
The safety out of Hawaiian is another case of leaving us guessing. With no top schools announced it is anyone guess where he will end up. The Huskies will be doing their best to impress this weekend.
Donovan Robinson (LB): 3-star, Loyola Academy- Wilmette, Illinois -Top-4: Washington, Missouri, Arizona, Minnesota (Decommited from Virginia)
Since his commitment from UVA in the spring Robinson has only scheduled two visits. One to Minnesota and one to Washington. The Huskies will be looking to capitalize on this chance and bring Robinson in.
D’Aryhian Clemons (ATH): 3-star, Spanaway Lake HS- Spanaway, Washington – Projected Top-2: Washington, Washington State
247.com expects Clemons to be staying in state. With his projected top two being UW and WSU the Huskies have a great opportunity to backup the current crystal ball prediction and bring Clemons to Seattle.
Elijah Vaikona (OT): 3-star, Santa Margarita Catholic- Rancho Santa Margarita, California -Projected Top-2: Washington, USC
While there is no crystal ball prediction yet, the Huskies will be working hard to pull the fast-rising Vaikona away from his local school and up north to the PNW.
Dominic Macon (DL): 3-star, Adrienne C. Nelson HS- Happy Valley, Oregon -Projected: Washington
Macon’s only “warm” rating on 247’s the Huskies. While he has made no signal of commitment the Huskies should be looking to seal the deal this weekend.
Victor Sanchez-Hernandez (Edge): 3-star, Kamiak HS- Mulilteo, WA -Projected Top-2: Washington, Oregon State
Sánchez-Hernández received his official offer this week. He has offers from many top west coast schools, but remains an interesting target for the Huskies who will be looking to bring in the home town kid.
