2020 Mater Dei offensive lineman, Myles Murao has said time and time again that Washington is very high on his list, so where do things stand now that the new recruiting cycle is underway?
“I talked to Coach Huff today”, the 4-star guard told Realdawg.com last evening, “I mostly talk to Coach Huff and Coach Hamdan. They just are telling me they want me to get up there this spring.”
Murao has been to Washington before, and came away listing them very high on his list. Is he still feeling good about the Huskies?
“Definitely, I love Washington”, Murao said, “I really liked the atmosphere up there and the coaches.”
At 6-3, 280, Murao is a guard but could play center. He’s athletic, has real good instincts and loves to watch film and hone his craft. While most Crystal Ball predictions have him to USC, those predictions were made a year ago and the only school even listed as “warm” on his list is UCLA, so things are kind of all over the place.
Murao took to the inactive list more recently, however, when he broke his fibula and so he’s sidelined for any combines or camps this spring. He’s well on the road to recovery and still in physical therapy.
But we’ve heard that Washington is in a better place than most realize.
“I’m working on narrowing my list”, he said, “I haven’t gotten anything set up yet for spring visits, but I do want to get back up to Washington.”
The Huskies already have one pledge on the o-line for 2020 with Gaard Memmelaar, and they’re still in the race for about a handful more o-linemen in this class, so you cannot rule them out with Murao at this point.
We’ll continue to keep tabs on where Murao’s visit plans take him in the weeks and months ahead.
