With the majority of its defensive front departing after this season, the Washington Huskies are expected to be big players in the defensive tackle/edge department.
First off the board is Arizona State defensive tackle BJ Green who announced his commitment to UW, Sunday afternoon.
The All-Pac-12 Second Team defender in 2023, was one of the top playmakers in the Transfer Portal.
He did not accrue any statistics against the Huskies this season but he had a massive season, no less. In 12 games he has 39 tackles, 11.5 TFL, six sacks and a forced fumble.
In all, Green finished third in the Pac-12 in QB pressures behind Washington’s Bralen Trice and UCLA’s Laitu Latu, but fourth in the nation—three behind Trice’s 54.
