Washington sophomore outside linebacker, Amandre Williams announced tonight on Instagram and Twitter that, “At some point, you have to know when to make a change. Thank you for the memories.”
The post was next to a photo of the Huskies on the field.
Realdawg.com did confirm that he will transfer, and there was no real “problem” to speak of. It’s our belief that Williams was just looking to go somewhere where he could get into the rotation on a regular basis.
Last season he played in eight games, and this season he’s played in every game, and made some big plays — so this is somewhat of a head-scratcher.
Williams came to Washington by way of Tahoma High School in Maple Valley. He was part of the 2016 class and was a big get for the Huskies at the time. It was thought that he would have a productive career at Washington.
