With just two weeks before week one of college football season things are starting to round into form on Montlake. The 2024 Washington Huskies will look vastly different from the elite two year run orchestrated by Kalen DeBoer, Michael Penix, and the explosive offense that knocked on the door of another national championship.
In steps Jedd Fisch and his offensive coaching staff that turned around a listless Arizona program to one of the better offenses in the Pac-12 in 2023.
At quarterback the Huskies look to former SEC yards leader Will Rogers to start under center for his final year of eligibility. Rogers brings a wealth of knowledge and experience against some of the toughest defenses in the country. Sitting under Rogers is the heir apparent to the job in Deomond Williams who 4th and Inches’ own, Coach V, believes could be a top seven quarterback in Husky history when his chapter is written.
The question marks revolve around the offensive line where Brennan Carroll looks to construct another quality unit much like he did while at Arizona. There are some quality holdovers from previous Husky staffs and Carroll was able to bring in some quality talent through the transfer portal. The big question is if he can mold a quality unit together before the start of Big 10 play.
Coach V, UW Leah, and Trevor Mueller discuss every position group in depth and discuss what is there and project their production for the upcoming season.
