The countdown to football season is officially on. The anticipation is at a boiling point in the final season of the Pac-12 as we know it with 5-6 teams that could contend for the conference title. 

One of the major factors that will determine the eventual champion will be quarterback play. The Pac-12 boasts a deep pool of talented signal callers throughout the conference. The headliners being Heisman winner Caleb Williams and potential challengers of Michael Penix and Bo Nix. 

Outside of the top three, the Pac-12 has the reigning champion in Cam Rising and a host of other quarterbacks capable of getting hot and shouldering his team to an upset victory. 

There are also some new faces to the conference that will bring new hope and new energy that could potentially help their new programs contend for a championship or get them back to a bowl game.
