4th and Inches Podcast: California at Washington Preview

The Cal Bears will open Pac-12 play under the lights of Husky Stadium Saturday night. The 7:30 kickoff will be the first time the Huskies have had the late time slot this season.

Washington comes into the game at 3-0 after dismantling the Michigan State Spartans with 35 unanswered points in the first half en route to a 41-7 victory.

Cal also took care of business last week, albeit against FCS’s University of Idaho.   After spotting the Vandals 17 points the Golden Bears responded by rattling off the final 31 points of the game.

Cal did lose in their only Power 5 matchup with Auburn two weeks ago. In that game, the Golden Bears turned the Tigers over four times in the game losing 14-10.

Ten points will not be enough to keep pace with Michael Penix and company who hasn’t been held in check in more than a half since the last time these two teams met up.

Listen in as Jake Grant, UW Leah, and Trevor Mueller break down Washington’s opening round in its final season in the Pac-12 Conference.

The 4th and inches crew look at matchup and identify ways the Huskies can take advantage and come out with the win.
