2022 Vegas 4-Star OLB talks Huskies, Recruiting

It’s been a few months (May, 2020) since Washington offered Bishop Gorman (Vegas) OLB, Cyrus Moss, since then the mutual interest has grown quite a bit.

Will the Huskies grab a star out of Bishop Gorman again in 2022? In 2020 they signed receiver, Rome Odunze.

“It’s been great”, the 6-5.5, 218 lb. four-star prospect told Realdawg.com over the weekend, “They’re a very personable staff and I’ve enjoyed being recruited by them.”

Pete Kwiatkowski is Moss’s position recruiter.

The Huskies are now one of the 26 schools to offer Moss, but all you have to do is watch his film to see what these recruiters are seeing; he’s simply relentless.

Moss has all the intangibles the Huskies love to see in their pass-rushers; he’s got length and athleticism, and while Moss might not be as weighty yet as he could be, remember how the Huskies’ got Zion Tupuala-Fetui up 30 lbs. from the time he arrived at Washington until now, without losing his speed or athleticism.

“I believe everything is achievable if you’re going to put the work in to put yourself in the right spot”, Moss explained, “That’s in the classroom, weight room, and field.”

Moss doesn’t know his exact stats from last season, but the fact is that his presence if felt on the field from the snap to the end of the play; he has strong vision and pursuit. Moss is a guy who hits hard and is able to see the play before and as it’s developing.

And Moss has a recipe for success already, despite his youth, “If I can put myself in the right spot to make a play from watching film, then I can make the play because I put the work in in the weight room”, he explained, “Then I can benefit from all of that because I kept my grades right.

“So hard work is something I can always count on and has been the first and biggest thing in my journey so far.”

Moss hasn’t yet trimmed his list, “I’m beginning to try to figure that all out now. I think I’ll be able to drop a top list here in a little while”, he said, “I’m still determining everything, so I’m not ready to say yet. But (Washington) is definitely a school of interest to me and they’ll be in my consideration.”
