2022 St. John Bosco DE Nate Burrell: Simply Ferocious

The Husky coaches are out doing some scouting on the road this week, in addition to checking in their committed prospects, and St. John Bosco High School never fails to produce some top Husky prospects.

Tuesday 2022 DE, Nate Burrell received his eighth offer, and this one was from Washington.

“Man I love the UW offer”, the 6-3. 250 lb. prospect told Realdawg.com, “Great program with a amazing staff — I can’t wait to go out there and meet everybody on the staff.”

Right now his primary recruiter is Ikaika Malloe, but Will Harris is also involved due to the fact that this is his area.

“Coach Ikaika is a great guy and …by far my favorite d-line coach”, Burrell added, adding that the Huskies are primarily recruiting him to play d-end, “But maybe I will play some interior in a nickel defense or something like that.”

So far, Burrell’s offers include Washington, Michigan, Colorado, Arizona State, Miami, Kansas, Washington Sate, and Northern Arizona.

On the field, Burrell plays with a chip on his shoulder and shows tremendous aggression when it comes to getting into the backfield after shedding blocks.

He’s long, has the body type to add more weight but, at this point, he’s just a sophomore and is only scratching the surface of how far he can get.

In other words: This guy’s upside is ridiculous right now. For a sophomore, Burrell is just simply ferocious.

“In my opinion my biggest strengths on the field are my speed, athletic ability and strength”, he said of his game, and that shows up time and time again when watching his highlights.

There’s no question Burrell will rise even more in the rankings and his stock will soar — Washington was smart to get in the door when they did.

Last season for Bosco Burrell recorded 55 tackles 6.5 sacks.

Right now he says he plans to get up to Washington the spring to take an unofficial trip.
