After Earning 4th Star, Local Wideout talks Huskies

It’s only fitting that a talented receiver like Junior Alexander finally earn a 4th star in the rankings. Alexander holds double-digit offers and plays for the one of the top programs in the state.

This week he saw his ranking rise, he also talked to Realadawg.com about where things stand with the hometown Huskies.

“I’ve been talking to the coaches a lot”, Alexander reported, “I really love the staff and I know they’re just really great and can get me to the league. They bring aggressiveness and it’s still the mood during the off-season.”

Alexander was offered last fall, and also took an unofficial trip to Washington with teammates Sam Huard and Jabez Tinae back during the contact period. Since then, the continual contact with the coaches hasn’t slowed down.

“I talked mostly to Coach Malloe, Coach Adams and Coach Lake”, Alexander added, “We text a lot throughout the week.”

One thing on Alexander’s agenda this spring is to check out the Huskies’ spring practice, “I really love it”, he said of Washington, “Not just because it’s my hometown school but because of the foundation that Coach Pete built and now it’s going to continue on with Coach Lake.”

Alexander was also excited that Tinae received an offer last week also, “I was very excited for him”, he said, “He’s been ballin’ since freshman year.”

The prospect of getting both Tinae and Alexander is definitely attractive to the coaching staff; two local 4-stars right here in their own backyard who have also been catching passes from the Huskies’ 2021 quarterback commit, Sam Huard.

“I think at the end of summer I’ll narrow it down and I plan on having my decision by the end of the season”, Alexander said.

One thing Alexander is committing himself to this spring is the track program at Kennedy Catholic; he will be playing the 200 and also plans to take part in the long jump and high jump as well.

For now, however, he’s going to be headed to Vegas this weekend with FSP for a 7 on 7 tourney — the same tourney FSP won last year.
